Healthcare in Nigeria is fragmented. Getting a prescription filled means long queues. Seeing a doctor means leaving work. Saving for health emergencies is rarely something people plan for. And health insurance feels out of reach for most individuals.
Medica needed a product that tackled all of this from scratch. No existing design to build on, no established patterns to follow. The challenge was to design a mobile experience that felt warm and trustworthy enough for health, while being simple enough for anyone to navigate without guidance.

The answer was simplicity at every touchpoint. Onboarding was designed to get users into the product quickly, with just enough context to feel confident. Each feature lives in its own clear space, ordering, reminders, savings, insurance, and telemedicine all accessible without friction. The prescription flow was built around delivery, skipping the pharmacy entirely. Reminders were tied directly to prescriptions so users never had to set them up manually. The savings and insurance flows were designed to feel approachable, not clinical, because the goal was to make planning for health feel like a natural habit rather than a chore.
