// Problem
THE CHALLENGE
AuditBar already had a mobile app in place, but it was falling short. Key features were missing, the user experience had friction, and the platform wasn't competitive enough against similar tools in the market. The existing workflows needed to be analysed, improved, and adapted for a web interface, and the timeline was tight.
The task was to redesign and expand the product into a web application that could serve three distinct user types: vendors managing their business, customers shopping across storefronts, and Auditbar's internal admin team overseeing the platform.

// Target
BUSINESS GOALS & OBJECTIVES
The goal was to build a web platform that closed the gap between AuditBar and its competitors. Rather than waiting on a full mobile redesign, the team pivoted to a web interface to move quicker and deliver more value sooner. The key deliverables were:
A vendor and business owner interface for managing stores, products, invoices, inventory, and performance
A customer-facing storefront experience for browsing and purchasing across vendors
An admin interface for AuditBar to manage users, vendors, and platform activity
A complete design system and design language to ensure consistency across all three interfaces

// Approach
HMWs / SOLUTIONS
The approach was to start with a thorough analysis of the existing mobile app workflows, then adapt and improve them for the web. New features were introduced where the experience had gaps, and each one was brainstormed directly with the product manager to ensure every design decision had a clear functional reason behind it. The result was a platform where vendors could manage their full business operation, customers could shop with ease, and admins had clear visibility over the entire ecosystem.

DESIGN CONSTRAINTS
The project had a short timeline, which drove the decision to build for web first rather than redesign the mobile app
Three distinct user types had to be designed for within one cohesive platform, each with different needs and workflows
Existing mobile app workflows had to be preserved and adapted for web rather than rebuilt from scratch, to reduce friction for current users
New features needed to be carefully scoped and justified given the time pressure, requiring close collaboration with the product manager to prioritise what shipped first
