Health insurance options already exist in Nigeria, but accessibility remains a significant challenge. Medica aims to bridge this gap by providing an easy-to-use platform. My task was to design a modern mobile app that gives Medica a competitive edge. The app enables users to explore health plans and efficiently manage beneficiaries, offering a seamless and intuitive experience.

Medica is a platform designed to help users save money for health emergencies. The goal was to provide access to health insurance plans and a separate wallet for users to save funds for prescription medications from partner pharmacies. This led to the creation of an in-app store where users can locate nearby pharmacies and have prescribed medications delivered directly to them.

As the lead designer for Medica, I was responsible for developing a cohesive design system, crafting mobile interfaces, and designing the website. I created multiple iterations of key screens and collaborated with the project coordinator to finalize the designs. Additionally, I delivered a complete prototype of the mobile app, ensuring it was ready for use by both stakeholders and developers.

TYPOGRAPHY
Cabin is a contemporary humanist sans-serif typeface inspired by Edward Johnston’s and Eric Gill’s typography. It features rounded corners and a clean design, balancing modern aesthetics with a touch of warmth. Its versatility makes it great for web design, branding, and user interfaces.
